Music Please

The project aimed to create a website dedicated to an artist of our choice. I chose the band "The Garden" in order to explore a brutalist design approach in harmony with their chaotic aesthetic, while recalling the iconic style of punk record sleeves.

"The Garden" is an American experimental rock band formed in 2011 by twin brothers Wyatt and Fletcher Shears. Their first album, "The Life and Times of a Paperclip", was released in 2013, followed by several singles.

They recently released a new album entitled "Horseshit on Route 66", in which a punk aesthetic clearly comes through, whether in their posters or their outfits. In addition, their stage make-up evokes influences from various genres such as industrial metal and black metal. This is how brutalism finds its legitimacy with "The Garden", in perfect keeping with their pursuit of a raw and eccentric aesthetic. I was therefore able to redesign an album cover and create a temporary website that reflects their visual identity.
